With the Superlights enjoying a long summer break, the Fauldsport Roadsport A team headed for Kent for rounds 9 & 10 of the championship.
Roadsport A
Friday testing saw Jonathan setting the pace, with Jamie not far behind but Adam struggling a little on his bogey circuit. Simon Roache had an unfortunate off exiting Druids extensively damaging the front of the chassis, but the team worked all afternoon to make sure the car was ready for qualifying on Saturday morning.
With the small grid capacity at Brands meaning the qualifying was split into 2 groups, it was to prove to be a day of frantic maths and not a little confusion. The upshot was Jamie starting the first (of 3) race in 8th, with Adam behind him in 14th. A typically frantic Brands Indy race ensued, with Adam and Jamie bringing the cars home in 6th and 7th respectively. Race 2 saw Jonathan start in 6th and was almost immediately fighting for the lead, only dropping back and settling for 3rd in the closing stages. Simon brought the rebuilt car back in 21st, and reckoned it felt as good as before. The final race of the weekend saw Jonathan struggling for pace a little and finishing a frustrated 5th, while Simon fought his way to 19th by the flag.
